For the second year in a row, Honda won the Best Retained Value among all mainstream brands while also finishing in the top three in four categories. We can now add resale value and low depreciation to the reasons why you should consider a new Honda vehicle!

Retained value is an indication of resale value. Canadian Black Book measures the percentage of the initial value a vehicle keeps after four years. Honda finished first among all mainstream brands because its models have the lowest level of depreciation of any brand it competes with.

The Honda Civic finished first overall among mainstream cars while the Honda Accord finished third in the same segment. The Honda CR-V placed second in the compact/subcompact SUV segment ahead of the Toyota RAV4 while the Honda Ridgeline finished third among midsize SUVs.

There’s nothing worse than depreciation and nobody wants to lose 50% or 60% of its initial value after four years. With Honda, you won’t have to worry about that!
