Unveiled yesterday, the new Honda Civic Si 2022 offers a host of new features that add to the sporty character of the Si while improving its performance and adding touches of luxury to the interior. More technological, more dynamic and more fun than ever, the Honda Civic Si 2022 will have no problem retaining its title as the sportiest car in its price range. Here are three things to know about the new 2022 Honda Civic Si.

Better road behavior

The 2022 Honda Civic Si receives notable improvements to its suspension as well as its chassis. For starters, the car is stiffer in every way, whether it's flexion, torsion, or mechanical components like the steering shaft. This results in a more stable car, more confident in the corners.

Then, the suspension was revised to improve handling. Firmer shocks provide more confidence in tight corners while allowing the Civic Si to better exploit the improved performance of its turbo engine.

A more dynamic turbo engine

The 2022 Honda Civic Si still offers a turbocharged four-cylinder engine, this time with 200 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque. This engine is paired exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission which this year offers an engine speed synchronization system from the Civic Type R, commonly known as rev matching.

The engine has been improved in order to deliver its power over a greater rev range. It means you have more power in all situations. Torque is delivered from 1,800 rpm, or 300 rpm before the old Civic Si. Concretely, that gives you better acceleration in the city and more dynamic passing with less hesitation.

You also have more control over how that power is delivered thanks to the new Individual drive mode that adds to the Normal and Sport modes.

More luxury inside

The Civic Si comes standard with a 9-inch center display and offers a fully digital 10-inch dashboard display. It also offers wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a Bose audio system and a completely redesigned interior. Come learn more today!
