For the third consecutive year, and for the fifth time in the last six years, the Honda Odyssey picked up Kelley Blue Book’s award for the best resale value in the minivan category.

The U.S.-based firm specializes in elaborating resale values for automobiles, and according to its calculations, the 2020 Honda Odyssey will retain 39.4% of its initial purchase price after five years on the market. KBB praises the minivan for its dynamic drive and its ride comfort, its cabin space and versatility as well as its strong reputation for reliability. In addition, it benefits from the Honda Sensing suite, which rounds up advanced safety aids such as adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking and lane keep assist. In Canada, Honda Sensing is standard in all trim levels of the minivan.

“Simply put, this Honda van shines in all areas. As a family hauler, the well-built Odyssey seats up to eight people in a 2-3-3 configuration, and it’s roomy enough to accommodate actual adults inside, not just kids,” said KBB.

This year, the 2020 Honda Odyssey beat the Toyota Sienna (36.7% of its value after five years) that took second place as well as the Kia Sedona (36.0%) which came in third.
